Feedback for October 23 24th week end.
Just got back from a location group shoot organised by Paul at Pixel 8.
What can I say, Paul is a very friendly guy with a great sense humour
and has a wealth of experience and knowledge. Over the course of the weekend
Paul had organised some great private and public locations for us to shoot
in and 5 fantastic models. The shoot was professionally organised and
Paul set the scene at the location and the goal to achieve then let the
photographers get on with it, working in small groups with a model each,
but was always on hand to give his expert advice and suggestions if you
needed it, so really suitable for all levels.
From what I have seen so far I have got some great pictures and the weekend really made me think a lot about my camera settings and using natural light, plus fill in flash where needed to get the exposure correct, but leaving the picture looking naturally lit, rather than harsh flashlight and dark backgrounds, which was the aim of the weekend and will make a vast improvement to my location work in the future.
Highly recommended and can't wait for the next one :). Paul Tooth
It was a wonderful weekend - awesome locations you'd never find on your own, stunning & fun models, great crowd, lucky with the weather and great teachers Paul & David who gave as much or little help as you required.
I've come away having learnt alot about balancing flash and ambient light and hopefully loooooads of great photos. Richard Matthews
The weekend location shoot was an excellent experience with Pauls can do approach, he took us through how to balance flash with avaliable light and provided the opportunity to shoot in some fantastic locations. There was then ample time to spend practicing these new skills with the supurb selection of models and Paul was on hand to offer guidence and support throughout the event. Simon Christopher
