Photographer Advice
I do know from my mail box that some of you are quite keen, but worried about taking the plunge. So on this page I explain how it works and what to expect.>
How model charges work are the first concern many of you have and what the different styles mean.
OK the first obvious one is Topless. Next is figure nude.
The model will model to nude, but without showing anything. So you have
the clean lines without thong straps, bra etc., but the model will have
her legs crossed, or turned away from the camera. UK magazine is
as you will find in gentlemen's top shelf magazines. Penthouse, Mayfair
etc.
Next comes US Magazine. The model poses to open leg, but also spreads
to "pink" is the expression. Then there is Continental. The
model will pose as US, but also uses "toys" and fingers. If
you book a model for 2 hours for US magazine then it is 2 hours. Not one
hour topless and one at US. All models charge extra for a model release
although the amount is usually negotiable. Unless you are sure you will
be selling your work I suggest a model release is an extra expense. If
you want to publish the pictures on your own personal website only, then
talk to us.
These days there are also GG which is Girl Girl. Charges
up to continental depend on the model so it is best to phone, or email.
I am always happy to help set up the lights and help
with your camera if needed. If not I am happy to let you into the studio
and leave you to it. Coffee, Tea and water available all the time. :-)
We also provide group evenings where up to 4 photographers
work together with a model for a two hour session. This does include instruction
by me so this is an ideal opportunity to take pictures and practice directing
a model.
If you are nervous there is no need to be as we are a very friendly crew and all the models are understanding and sympathetic to mistakes and nerves.
